Aims of the Show

While agriculture in Japan is suffering from the aging of agricultural workers and a shortage of successors, agricultural machinery such as GPS, ICT (information and communication technology), and robot technology, is becoming popular. These technologies are expected to greatly change the development of Japanese agriculture.

The International Agricultural Machinery Show (IAMS), which is held every four years, has contributed to the development of agriculture in Japan. The 35th IAMS, which will be held in Tokachi in 2022, is being prepared to be a place to present the future direction of agriculture. We regard it as an important event that shows the direction of Japanese smart agriculture in order to solve structural problems of domestic agriculture.

While the whole world is being affected by COVID-19, the 35th International Agricultural Machinery Show in Obihiro will be held with measures to prevent infection according to the national government’s policy.
